ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

SR20 CURB & SIDEWALK improvements PROJECT

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Twisp at PO Box 278, Twisp, Washington 98856 or delivered to Town Hall located at 118 S. Glover St., Twisp, WA 98856 until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.

The project is located within the Town of Twisp between the Methow River Bridge and Airport Road.  The project is funded by the Federal Highway Administration and the State Transportation Improvement Board.

The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:

Work to begin on June 1, 2017 after construction of water main improvements.

Construction of 2,300 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter and a five foot sidewalk.

Construction of driveway entrances, ADA ramps and installation of catch basins, filter systems and drywells for storm drainage.

Work involves extensive traffic control and project scheduling to accommodate local businesses along SR20 during the 2017 summer season.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Twisp.

Methow Valley Communications District (MVCD). Special public meeting.

The MVCD will hold a Special meeting Thursday July 28th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. to be held at the Twisp Works Foundation conference room in Twisp, WA.

The purpose of the meeting will be in reference to the proposed partnership of MVCD and LocalTel in restoring the Goat 3 MVCD Communications site building destroyed by wildfire in August 2015.

THEREFORE, pursuant to RCW 61.12.060, and in the name of the State of Washington,

you are hereby commanded to sell the Property, or so much thereof as may be necessary, in order to satisfy the Judgment, including post-judgment interest and costs. MAKE RETURN HEREOF within sixty days of the date indicated below, showing you have executed the same.

Special Meeting

The Okanogan County Public Health Board of Health has changed their regular meeting date in August from the 9th to the 16th, 2016, from 1:30-3:30, thus constituting a special meeting. The regular Board of Health meeting is scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month. Members of the public are invited to attend.  Board of Health meetings are at the Public Health Offices located at 1234 S. 2nd Ave., Okanogan, WA.

2016 Okanogan County Public Health Change to Fee Schedule 

A public hearing will be held at the Okanogan County Public Health, Board of Health meeting Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. The Okanogan County Public Health Board of Health will consider amending the 2016 Fee Schedule to include a six dollar ($6) fee for public information  requests as authorized per RCW 42.56.120. The Okanogan Coun-ty Public Health Board of Health meeting is held at the Okanogan County Public Health office located at 1234 S. 2nd Ave., Okanogan, WA.

SMALL WORKS ROSTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Okanogan County invites contractors interested in doing business with Okanogan County to submit an application to be included on the Small Works Roster (SWR). The SWR is used for public works projects under Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) as provided for in RCW 39.04.155. Interested Contractors must contact Okanogan County Department of Public Works either at 1234 A Second Avenue South, Okanogan, WA 98840, by phone at 509-422-7300, by email at amoody@co.okanogan.wa.us or a SWR application. The SWR is used in the letting of contracts for such projects as repairs, improvements, remodeling and other public works projects in and around County owned buildings and facilities and for County road construction and maintenance projects.

SWR work may involve Federal-Aid projects. The County of Okanogan in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000a to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs issued pursuant to such Act; hereby notifies all Contractors that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprise as defined at 49 CFR, Part 26, will be afforded full opportunity to submit SWR applications in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for a contract award.

Contractors and other service providers who wish to be included on the SWR must be a Washington State licensed and bonded Contractor and agree to comply with Washington State Prevailing Wage Law as specified in RCW 39.12. Prevailing Wage Law requires that a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages and an Affidavit of Wages Paid must be submitted by all Contractors and Sub-contractors that perform any work that is defined as a “Public Work” according to RCW 39.04.010. The County may, upon request, require the Contractor or Sub-contractors to submit certified payrolls.
