Ten trails and areas within North Cascades National Park Service Complex have been opened for use, while other trails and areas will remain closed due to safety hazards in burned areas, the National Park Service said.

Thirty-two fires burned 12,231 acres across the park complex throughout the 2015 summer, closing many areas and trails. Additional areas may reopen throughout the summer after further evaluation and mitigation.
