This Friday (May 20) is our over-80 party. So if you are over 80, come join the group for special lunch.

The Western Sale is almost here. It’s down to crunch time to get it all put together. So many nice things have come in the last week. It’s amazing where and what shows up. Thank you to everyone who has donated such nice things.

The biscuits and gravy breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. — $7 for big cowboys and girls and $5 for little buckaroos. We also will have coffee and rolls for those wanting a small breakfast. The sale rooms open at 8 a.m., and the auction starts at noon. Grab your partner and dosey-do on down for some great buys.

The Thrift Store is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and Saturday during the Farmers Market.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.

THURSDAY, MAY 19: Roast beef sandwich, carrot raisin salad, fruit cocktail, pudding.

FRIDAY, MAY 20: Shepherd’s pie, cottage cheese, Caesar salad, pineapple, whole wheat roll, frosted cake.

MONDAY, MAY 23: Orange-glazed chicken, au gratin potatoes, creamy coleslaw, green beans, chilled pears, bread pudding.

THURSDAY, MAY 26: Meatloaf, potatoes and gravy, steamed broccoli, garden salad, whole wheat bread, fruited Jell-O.

FRIDAY, MAY 27: Country fried steak, potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, tossed green salad, apricots, bran muffin, cookies.
