The Liberty Bell High School boys’ soccer team saw its first action on Saturday (March 12) in a jamboree at Chelan High School. Also playing were Bridgeport and Manson. Each team played three shortened matches.
“Our team showed a lot of potential and improvement over the course of the day,” coach Lincoln Post said. “Having practiced all but one day in the cub gym [at Methow Valley Elementary School], it was a challenge for us at the start of the day to be oriented on the large field.”
Liberty Bell lost to Manson, 1-0; beat Bridgeport, 2-0 with two goals by Charlie Thornton-White; and lost to Chelan, 1-0, on a last-second shot.
