Think spring! The Spring Sale starts this Saturday (March 12). We are starting so early because Easter is early and we have lots of nice Easter decorations and clothes. The sale is from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. There are also two new bikes, in the boxes, and many more summer items.

The first dance we have had in months was last Friday and there was a grand turnout of people and dancers for it. It was nice to see the over-the-hill gang again.

The volunteers are going to be taking a CPR class again this week. Some of us need a refresher class and others are taking it for the first time. We all hope we never to have to use it, but we do have an automated external defibrillator (AED) in our building in case it’s ever needed.

The blood pressure machine is still here, so anyone can use it.

The Thrift Store is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997‑7722 for additional details.

THURSDAY, MARCH 10: Country-fried steak, potatoes and gravy, green beans, tomato lettuce salad, fruit cocktail, bran muffin, Jell-O with topping.

FRIDAY, MARCH 11: Baked fish, wild rice, peas, spinach salad, apricots, corn bread, sherbet.

MONDAY, MARCH 14: Pot roast, potatoes, carrots, garden salad, spicy apples, whole wheat bread, tapioca.

THURSDAY, MARCH 17: Corned beef and cabbage, carrots, tropical fruit, potatoes, whole wheat roll, pistachio pudding.

FRIDAY, MARCH 18: Chicken cordon bleu, scalloped potatoes, Italian vegetables, tossed green salad, mixed berries, whole wheat roll, frosted cake.
