VEHICLE PROWL: It was reported that a window had been broken in a vehicle parked near the Blue Lake trailhead on Highway 20 west of Washington Pass.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: Caller in Twisp reported that their son was being belligerent and threatening.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Caller said they heard that mushroom pickers were robbing people at gunpoint but actually had not talked to any victims and was only “hearing things” about it.

May 13

ACCIDENT: A non-injury accident was reported on Twisp River Road.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: It was reported that a cat had been left at a location on Aspen Lane.

HARASSMENT: A person reported a case of harassment on Bridge Street in Twisp.

ASSAULT: Caller reported that they were driving on Danzell Road, Methow, when a woman jumped into the middle of the road and indicated she did not want the driver to pass through. The woman was yelling and then jumped onto the driver’s vehicle and tried to hit him.

THREAT: Threatening activity was reported on Poorman Creek Road, Twisp.

THEFT: Caller on Witte Road, Winthrop, reported that some items were stolen.

ACCIDENT: A two-vehicle, non-injury accident was reported on Patterson Lake Road at the boat launch.

CIVIL DISPUTE: Caller on Dove Mountain Ranch Road, Carlton, reported that a neighbor cut his fence and wired the gate to the caller’s property shut.

ASSAULT: Caller reported that several men had tried to assault him and take his mushrooms, at a location on Highway 153 and Black Canyon Road.

ACCIDENT: A two-vehicle injury collision was reported at Highway 20 and Twisp Airport Road.

TRESPASS: Trespassing was reported at a location on Highway 153, Carlton.

STRAY ANIMAL: It was reported that a large dog, owner unknown, had killed a neighbor’s cat on Old Twisp Highway, but seemed to be friendly toward people.

THEFT: Theft of a cell phone was reported on Highway 20, Winthrop.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Caller on Burma Road, Methow, reported that neighbors were shooting guns and disturbing the tranquility.

ABANDONED VEHICLE: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Patterson Lake Road, Winthrop; it had been there at least a week.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Caller on Magers Street reported a possible violation of a no-contact order.

May 14

NOISE COMPLAINT: A noise complaint was registered on Glover Street.

May 15

SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR: It was reported that a couple of women were going through trash bins at the post office.

EXTRA PATROL: Extra patrols were requested at a location on North Glover Street.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Caller reported seeing a man and small child on North Methow Valley Highway, and the child acted like he did not want to be with the man.

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported at a storage unit on Highway 20.

May 15

THEFT: A theft was reported on White Avenue.

WARRANT ARREST: A warrant arrest took place on Canyon Street, Twisp.

PERSONAL WELFARE CHECK: A personal welfare check was requested on Windsong Road.

May 17

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported at a location on Highway 20.

Okanogan County Superior Court

The court found probable cause to charge Aaron Randy Dyke, 39, of Twisp, with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

Brandon Matthew Herz, 28, of Winthrop, pleaded guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was sentenced to 60 days and fined a total of $2,110.50.
