How are you doing this summer? Hasn’t the weather been fabulous? I love hearing about plants growing and gardens flourishing. Love the fresh produce!
Someone brought in tantalizing cherries. They disappeared like water on a hot skillet. Love them. Thank you so much. It’s fun that people share their bounty with others.
Happy (belated) June birthdays to Verleigh Schachtschneider on the 21st and Fae Graves the 24th. You both look great and we love your zest for life. It’s amazing how having a positive attitude like these two can make one seem younger and fun to be around.
Have your blood pressure taken on Thursday (July 3) by our fantastic nurse Fae, then stay for bingo.
July is here. Pat Sigler celebrates her birthday on July 3, Paul Bergenholtz on July 14, Ruth Dahlin on July 20 and my hubby, Jerry, on July 23. He is four hours older than my sister. Her husband was also born on July 23, but in a different year, and they were married on July 23. Big day in our family.
The center will be closed on Friday, the Fourth of July. We’ll miss seeing everyone. Be sure to attend all celebrations honoring our country and the men and women who served to preserve our freedom. How fortunate we are to live and enjoy the freedoms given us at the expense of some who made the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I can live free. Say a prayer for those still serving and in harm’s way.
Dance day is cancelled this Friday, but will resume on the first Friday in August.
Notice our new sign? It’s a beauty.
I must correct wrong reporting on my part when I said David and Marjory’s home was troubled by lightning. I was sure they told me that, guess I was having a senior moment and remember the wrong teller of that sad tale of woe. Seems they have had several folks concerned about them. Sorry for the misinformation. Will the person who did have that difficulty, let me know? Hmm … getting older is getting tougher to remember.
