Liberty Bell High School basketball alumni Korrie Bourn and Connor Walsh are hosting a four-day Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball training camp for elementary and junior high players at Liberty Bell High School next week.

Classes will include two daily sessions from Monday through Friday (June 23 – 27). The morning sessions for first- through fourth-graders will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The afternoon sessions for fifth- through eighth-graders will be held from 2 – 5 p.m.

The camp is sponsored by Methow Valley AAU basketball and costs $50. Interested students are advised to attend the grade-appropriate session where they can register at the same time. For more information, contact AAU coach Thome George at (509) 846-3841.

Walsh was a member of the 2008 Liberty Bell High School varsity basketball team that placed third in state 2B, and later played for the Bearcats at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.

Bourn, a 2008 graduate of LBHS, played for both Spokane Community College and later for Eastern Oregon University in LaGrande.
