Door No. 3 in Twisp will host a Methow Conservancy presentation of the Methow Out My Window book project on Tuesday (June 10) from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

The project is a collaboration involving the Conservancy, Door No. 3, the master bookmakers at Mighty Tieton in the Yakima Basin, and 17 Methow Valley artists.

The local artists have created original linoleum block prints, photographs and poetry, all of which are collected in a handmade, limited edition book. Only 250 copies have been created, and the 40-page book will be available for purchase for $250.

A panel of artists who contributed to the book will talk about their work at the free event. Laura Gunnip and Robin Doggett of Door No. 3 will provide insights on the bookmaking process.

Art contributors are Erik Brooks, Caryl Campbell, Robin Doggett, Tania Gonzalez Ortega, Laura Gunnip, Tori Karpenko, Mary Lou McCollum, Bruce Morrison, Ginger Reddington, Suzanneh Rowntree, and Patty Yates; photography is contributed by Mary Kiesau, Dennis O’Callaghan, Aristides Pappidas, Teri J. Pieper, and E. A. Weymuller. A series of poems entitled Letters to Julia, 1898 – 1899. The Methow Valley, Washington by Linda M. Robertson is also included.

Net proceeds from the sales will support the Annual Operating Fund of the Methow Conservancy.

The public is invited to share their favorite views of the Methow for display at the event. Digital versions of photos, paintings or prints can be emailed to the Conservancy by Friday (June 6) at info@methowconservancy.org.
