Easter egg hunts at Omak and Pearrygin
Twisp Valley Grange and Winthrop Kiwanis are sponsoring an Easter egg hunt on April 19 at Pearrygin Lake State Park near Winthrop. The free event, which includes a barbeque provided by Ulrich’s Pharmacy, begins at noon. Parking is free that day at the park.
Kiwanis members will be taking pictures of kids with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunters should bring their own baskets and a picnic blanket. For more information, call (425) 760-6188 or 997-9357.

Pick up litter for Earth Week
Methow Recycles and WasteWise are celebrating Earth Week (April 19 – 26) by sponsoring a week-long, valley-wide litter clean-up.
Participants can bring garbage and recyclables to Methow Recycles on April 26. Liberty Bell High School students will weigh, categorize and analyze the composition of roadside findings and share the information with the community. Community Center invites you to shop
The Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp will host the Bee-Cause Re-Purpose Exposition — described as an upscale sale of quality items by a variety of vendors — on May 2 and 3. Chili and beverages will also be available at the free event. The sale will be from 5 – 8 p.m. on May 2 and from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on May 3.

Big sale at Little Star
Little Star Montessori School’s annual Super Garage Sale fundraiser is scheduled for May 3 and 4 at the school in Winthrop. The sale will be open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on May 3 and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on May 4. There will also be an open house on May 3 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Fiber Fest at fairgrounds
Knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers and fiber artists are invited to join the Okanogan Valley Fiber Association for a Fiber Festival on May 17 at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds commercial building. The free event will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
