Wig out at TwispWorks

TwispWorks will host a Cirque du Toupee wig party on Saturday (March 15) to benefit community programs through the TwispWorks Foundation. A donation of $5 is suggested. Local bands Shakedonia and Wild Mountain Nation will perform, and food and drinks will be available. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is for those over 21 only. For more information, call 997-3300.

 

Fly fishing club offers scholarship

The Methow Valley Fly Fishing Club is offering a one-year, $2,000 scholarship to a student graduating from Liberty Bell High School or the Independent Learning Center in 2014. The club is seeking applications from students who are interested in pursuing a career in fisheries, aquatic sciences, fisheries ecology or wildlife enforcement. Applicants may be planning to attend a four-year institution, community college or technical college. Interested students can get scholarship applications from the Liberty Bell High School counseling office. Application deadline is May 1.
