Debra had a passion for ocean beaches and books. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Her cooking will be greatly missed. She also loved to travel, experiencing places such as Jamaica, New Zealand, Mexico and Alaska.
Her greatest passion was her grandchildren, whom she adored and was so proud of. She was like a mom to many, whether it was offering a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, words of advice, or a place of refuge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, David Christensen of Winthrop; her mother, Irene Cooper of Elma, Wash.; sisters Doris Moyer of Spokane, Phyllis (Mandy) Cooper of Post Falls, Idaho, Janie Chavez of Elma, and Betty Cooper of Eugene, Ore.
She is also survived by her children: sons Thaddeus Dunkin of Winthrop and Ted Christensen of Kirkland, Wash.; daughters Jessica (Philip) Guilmet of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., and Michelle (John) Adams of Spokane; and grandchildren Thaddeus, Elizabeth and Emma Guilmet, and Ashton and Aurora Adams.
Debra was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Moyer, her father James Moyer and her stepfather Philip Cooper.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by many. There will be a celebration of her life held this coming spring, date to be determined.
