Youngsters interested in playing soccer this year have until Feb. 28 to register for Methow Valley Youth Soccer.

The program is open to players in U10 (8-9 years old), U12 (10-11 years old) and U15 (12-14 years old) based on ages as of Aug. 1, 2013.

The season begins on April 8 and runs through May 30, and the cost is $50.

U10s will practice from 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Methow Valley Elementary School, with games on Thursdays and Saturdays against Omak, Oroville and Tonasket teams.

U12s will practice from 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the elementary school with games on Mondays and Saturdays.

U15s will practice from 4 – 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Twisp Airport Field with games on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“We need coaches,” said program coordinator Heidi Bard. Those interested in coaching can contact Bard at heidigrows@gmail.com.

“We also need referees and will have a referee clinic in Omak on March 22,” Bard said.
