A roster full of players from the Liberty Bell High School football team has been voted to the Central Washington 2B 2013 All-League First, Second and Honorable Mention offensive and defensive teams.

Along with senior Cesar Dominguez – who was named defensive Most Valuable Player, First Team offensive line and First Team defensive linebacker – Chip Jones, Austin Watson and Milo Holston were selected for the Offensive First Team. Holston, Emmett Fink and Jorge Lara joined Dominguez on the Defensive First Team.

Following a slow early season that forced Liberty Bell to cancel its first two non-league games against Darrington and Concrete, the Mountain Lions came out with a roar against league opponents Manson and Bridgeport with respective 50-7 and 61-13 wins over the Trojans and Mustangs.

Liberty Bell mounted a thrilling come-from-behind rally at Oroville when they recovered from a 20-0 deficit to tie the Hornets, 27-all, before losing by three on a last-second field goal.

The Mountain Lions went on to defeat Lake Roosevelt, 45-0, and Kittitas, 48-8, and were poised for a state playoff berth when a 37-27 loss to White Swan ended their season.

Head coach Sy Bannick and assistant coaches Brent Walker and Brian Wilbur guided the Mountain Lions to a 4-2 winning record this season.
