A ghostly rumor is going around that the remaining Halloween room costumes and decorations are now free. What a deal.

By this weekend the Christmas Sale will be setting up in the sale room. It will go from orange and black to red and green overnight.

Friday (Nov.1) is dance day with the Hottells right after lunch. And on Thursday , Nov. 7, there will be blood pressure checks before lunch.

Don’t forget our Veterans Day appreciation program and free lunch for all veterans and one guest. And please bring in any pictures, clippings, uniforms or medals you would like to share. We will have a table set up to display them on.

Thursday, Oct. 31: Pork roast, au gratin potatoes, green beans, spinach salad, spice apple rings, whole wheat bread or roll, frosted cake.

Friday, Nov. 1: Country spareribs, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, garden salad, pears, whole wheat bread or roll, ice cream.

Monday, Nov. 4: Chicken fettuccini, Capri vegetables, spinach salad, fruit cocktail, garlic bread, sherbet.

Thursday, Nov. 7: Beef and tomato casserole, tossed green salad, chilled peaches, whole-wheat roll, pudding.


Meals are at noon in the Methow Valley Senior Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. The suggested donation is $3.25 for seniors over age 60; cost is $7.50 for those under 60. For more information, call 997-7722.
