The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association has named the Liberty Bell High School varsity girls’ soccer team the 2B state academic champions for the fifth consecutive year.

No other 2B girls’ soccer team has matched Liberty Bell’s string of academic wins, according to WIAA records dating back to 1999.

The Lady Lions’ team achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.907 to lead all girls’ soccer teams in the 2B division.

In the 2009-10 season the Lady Lions won with a GPA of 3.805.

No WIAA stats were available for the 2010-11 season but the LBHS soccer girls won that year as well.

In 2011-12 Liberty Bell’s 3.813 GPA won the 2B crown and last season the girls dominated again with a GPA of 3.845.
