This Saturday (Oct. 26) will be the last Methow Valley Farmers Market for the year and last weekend the Rummage Room will be open on Saturday. This gives all the volunteers a break before we have to set up and be ready for the first Christmas Sale. That will start Nov. 23 with the bazaar at the community center.
There are still lots of Halloween costumes to choose from, so if you haven’t decided what you want to be, come in and take a look around.
We still need paper grocery bags. I’ve never seen it so low as we are right now. Guess everyone is using their own bags at the stores, like I try to.
If you are a veteran or know one, we are honoring them on Nov. 11 with a program that includes music by Hank Cramer and flute music by Sue Sabin, plus a free lunch for all vets and one guest. We have flyers to hand out if you would like one.
A happy birthday to Judy Wall on Friday. We wish you well and many more.
We couldn’t ask for much nicer fall weather, and the colors are magnificent. Out on Patterson Lake on Saturday fishing, the lake was like a mirror reflecting fall colors. If you can, take a drive or walk and take in the pretty trees. They won’t last long.
On Monday (Oct. 28) we will have the door prize gift basket drawing. Come in, have lunch and try your luck.
