The Halloween Sale started Saturday. With the weather cooperating, we were able to put some racks out on the sidewalk. There are still many costumes left and lots of decorations.

We are also still in need of paper grocery sacks.

On Nov. 11 the Senior Center will be closed for Veterans Day. So a decision was made at the last board meeting that the board members would have a special day for veterans. We are planning a program and a free meal for each veteran and one guest. As we are still in the planning stages, I will have more information later on. This much I know: There will be music by Hank Cramer and Sue Sabin and the dinner menu is going to be ham, baked potato, salad, corn, rolls and cake.

Thursday, Oct. 17: Pork chops, au gratin potatoes, vegetable pasta salad, cauliflower and broccoli, apple sauce, whole wheat bread or roll, lemon bars.

Friday, Oct. 18: Beef stroganoff, Caesar salad, green beans, garlic bread, apple crisp.

Monday, Oct. 21: Beef roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, spinach salad, chilled pears, bread raisin pudding.

Thursday, Oct, 24: Hawaiian chicken, garden rice, cauliflower/broccoli salad, oriental vegetables, chilled apricots, whole wheat roll, pudding.
