Do you need help reviewing your options during Medicare’s open-enrollment period from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7? Help is now available in the Methow Valley.
Sponsored by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) program provides free and objective counselors across the state to help people navigate Medicare’s health insurance and prescription-drug options. SHIBA is independent and not connected to any insurance company or health plan.
Help is available not only during the open-enrollment period but also throughout the year, for ongoing questions and for people new to Medicare.
Help is also available by calling the statewide SHIBA HelpLine at 1-800-562-6900 or Community Choice, the SHIBA Sponsor serving central Washington, at 1-888-425-0731.
For in-person local assistance, call Bob Seltzer in Twisp at (307) 399-9482.
