This Thursday (Sept. 19) is bingo day again, after lunch. Come in and try your luck. On Friday, Albert Ames will be playing us some good old country western dancing and listening music, after lunch.

There is one more week to shop in the Winter Sale room, then everything will be moved into the Rummage Room. The Halloween Sale will be moving in and setting up. The doors will be open Oct. 12, so come and check out the costumes and decorations.

It sounds like we are in for a dramatic weather change. I heard some geese flying over the other morning and they were going south. And the little chickadees are coming back already. I wish all the yellow jackets would fly south with the geese.

Several of our volunteers are snowbirds, and I overheard several of them talking about when they were going to be leaving. We always miss them when they are gone and are happy when they return in the spring. Sue Koch will be leaving at the end of the month. All summer she takes dolls home and cleans and dresses them up for the Christmas Sale. We have some very special ones this year. Thanks, Sue.

The Senior Center Board has voted to provide the $1,000 requested by Okanogan County Transportation & Nutrition as a result of that organization’s budget shortfall. The funds will come from donations given to the center and proceeds from the annual Winter Sale that was held on Labor Day weekend. We want to thank everyone for the donations that we have already received.
