Dawn Gray has completed a three-year apprenticeship with Sun Mountain Lodge Executive Chef Russell Bradshaw and has been awarded a Certified Sous Chef certification from the American Culinary Federation.
“Dawn is a great inspiration and example of a committed apprentice,” Sun Mountain Marketing Director Karla Segale said in a press release. “She is a single mother who started at the dish station and worked her way into the kitchen. She was determined to advance her career and let it be known that she wanted to be more than a cook.”
The apprenticeship involves working in the kitchen under Bradshaw’s direction as well as online courses. Gray will continue to work at the lodge.
